The objective of this campaign is to drive skincare sales to existing clients who are feeling the effects of stress. Thanks to toxic politics, climate change, and social media (the list goes on), our collective stress is defining this cultural moment. The modern world is taking its toll, and our skin is starting to show stress in a big way. Sephora can’t solve everyday stressors, but it does have solutions for stress-caused concerns like premature aging, out-of-control dryness, and signs of inflammation.

After gathering research about stress, we decided that we needed to create a concept that was soothing to the senses. We used gradients because they are aesthetically pleasing and the color transition is more natural. We used colors like soothing pink and pale green which are known to reduce stress by creating a calming, tranquil environment. Our motion concept utilized repetitive motion to redirect mental focus away from anxiety-inducing stimuli.

The duration of this project was two months, and my role included developing a visual concept and photo/motion brief, art directing the photoshoots, designing all the assets for digital and print placements, and making necessary edits based on client feedback.
